Another thing that is bringing me down is the fact that this weekend is Mason’s 10th birthday and we aren’t able to have a birthday party for him with all of his friends. He is pretty upset about it, but I keep trying to tell him that I will make it up to him somehow. He said that he is known in his grade for having the best birthday parties and that his friends have been asking him when they will be getting the invitations. Sad stuff! I really am trying to be there for them as much as possible through all of this because I know that it is going to be hard for them. Trenton just says that he wants a normal family, and Madi says that she misses her daddy. It breaks my heart, because I am not trying to take them away from him. I tried to set up some sort of schedule for them until our hearing, but he wasn’t willing to be negotiable about it.  He was supposed to have them this weekend so that they could do something for Mason’s birthday, and his parents were going to come up to see the kids. I was uneasy about it, but was trying to think about what the kids wanted. Well, then I went and spoke to my attorney this morning because we have an emergency hearing this coming Wednesday because Mike is trying to get custody of the kids until our regular hearing.  He has said some really nasty things about me and I feel that I have no choice but to keep my kids away from him and his family for the time being. It really is the last thing I want to do because I know how much the kids love him, but I have to do what I think is best for them in the long run. It doesn’t mean it is easy though, I will say that much!

I just don’t understand why things happen the way they do sometimes! I keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason, and when one door closes another one opens. It is soooo hard to think that something good will come from all this, but I know God has a plan even though I can’t really see it at the moment. And if you know me, you know that I am not the most patient person in the world! I’m not a very good player in the waiting game!!

Anywho, I am done rambling…I will keep everyone updated as things progress…
